Objectives

This work package is aiming at network building of early-stage and mid-career TEL researchers (both from academia and industry) within and beyond STELLARnet. The WP therefore creates mechanisms for (a) the integration of early-stage and mid-career TEL researchers (community building), (b) for identifying and advancing emerging research themes and topics, and for (c) carrying out integrated actions to bring researchers together on the emerging themes and topics. To pursue these goals, WP3 includes three basic instruments, which have been developed in former Networks (Kaleidoscope and Prolearn): (1) Theme teams, (2) Incubators, and (3) the STELLARnet Rendez-Vous. They are tools to support scientific progress both from conceptual and methodological perspectives.

Specific objectives of WP3 are:

To implement and coordinate mechanisms (Theme Teams, Incubators, STELLARnet Rendez-Vous) for supporting the integration of researchers belonging to different research units and fostering the sharing and integration of competences, methodologies and ideas.
To foster the dialogue and collaboration between researchers of different levels of expertise (early-stage, mid-career and senior researchers).
To stimulate the participation of those researchers in European laboratories and research units (those in industry included) that are not part of the initial network (i.e., are not directly signing the STELLARnet contract) but have specific experience and can help filling gaps within the network that emerge with newly emerging themes.
