Objectives

Conduct and stimulate research on identifying the grand research challenge to be addressed by STELLARnet and by activities in the other work packages. Our goal is to exercise scientific leadership in the following thematic areas:

    Connecting learners: supporting self-directed, self-managed and self-maintained communities create successful new forms of collaboration.

    Orchestrating learning: situated, collaborative learning clearly demands a new approach to didactics and assessment.

    Contextualizing virtual learning environments and instrumentalizing learning contexts: technologies for learning must be designed for culturally-mediated settings, which themselves are not fixed. This includes the co-design of technology and pedagogy for situated learning, simulated environments and support for mobility.
