The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) is one of the leading global Universities (ranked 26 worldwide in 2006 by Newsweek). The CRAFT and the ReAct Group are its main research units involved in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). The CRAFT (http://craft.epfl.ch/) is in charge of the training policy, course assessment and e learning support. It is also a research unit that belongs to the School of Computer Science and Communication Systems. Its main research focus is on computer-supported collaborative learning and related issues. The CRAFT was a core partner of the former Kaleidoscope Network in TEL. The Real-Time Coordination and Sustainable Interaction Systems Group (ReAct) is the leading research unit part of the School of Engineering and investigating, promoting and deploying Technology Enhanced Learning solutions for bringing together engineering education and engineering practice (http://interaction.epfl.ch/). One of its focuses is on human computer interaction, teamwork and collaboration support for online engineering.
