Atos Origin s.a.e [ATOS] is the Spanish branch of a major international IT services company, Atos Origin plc. Atos Origin's business is turning client vision into results through the application of consulting, systems integration and managed operations. Atos Research & Innovation [ww.atosresearch.eu], node of R&D at Atos Origin in Spain, is a point of reference in innovation for the whole Atos Origin group. It focuses on projects combining research & development and the economic exploitation of investigation's results. Within the Consulting and Public Sector business unit, the Atos Research and Innovation group (ARI) concentrates on the realisation of international projects, combining the most up-to-date technological developments with a high awareness of the human factors (education sciences, disability-related issues, cultural diversity, multi-linguality).

We have a great deal of relevant experience for STELLARnet, including a number of significant projects. For example: E-learning and Collaborative Environments (MODELINGSPACE IST-2000-25385: Space of ideas' expression, modeling and collaboration for the development of imagination, reasoning and learning, e-COMODE eTEN-2005: Collaborative Modeling Environment, EUN MM1046: Set of basic collaborative and administration tools; GRAPPLE IST). Learning Management Systems (HOPE IST-2000-26271: e-learning support for socially excluded individuals, HUMAN IST-2001-33483: a web-based platform for in-house clinicians training, TELENET IST-1999-10459: Distance web-based learning environment, LUISA IST-027149: Learning Content Management System Using Innovative Semantic Web Services Architecture, ENN-ICS eTEN 2005: European Neurologic Network Interactive Communication Service). Multimedia and Educational Resources Repositories (ESIS IT 25942: Internet-based Repository, EASEL IST-1999-10051: Access to various repositories and construction of XML metadata repository for storing descriptions of adaptive content and interactive assessment resources, MetaCampus Real eTEN-510834 and Language Education (MALTED MM1038: Software tool for tutors and learners of language courses). In addition, our team was highly involved in the European Network of Excellence Kaleidoscope (IST-507838) focusing shaping the scientific evolution of Technology Enhanced Learning.
