The journal publishing cycle is much slower, but reflects a more mature consensus around field themes. The journal represents a much slower, but higher quality view of the nature of a field as it becomes institutionalized and fixed into a coherent set of themes and topics. In general, qualitative techniques are used in meta-analyses or topic mapping studies of the nature of a discipline. In this work we have applied a systematic mapping on a very highly selective literature mapped to STELLAR Grand Challenge Themes.
