1 Introduction Science 2.0 Developer Roadmap
To coordinate the different developer activities of the several Stellar partners, this wiki page should help to outline dependencies, responsibilities and deadlines for the milestones we want to achieve during the lifetime of Stellar and beyond.
A guideline of what tasks to achieve is the description of work [1]:
T6.1 TEL Science 2.0 Mash-up initiation and evolution (UKOU)
Within this task we will set up the mash-up infrastructure and make it available first within STELLAR and in a second step to the wider TEL community. We will develop a variety of mash-ups of mainstream tools and more specialized research oriented tools from the partners. These mash-ups will be available on the STELLAR web site (e.g. in the form of widgets to be easily embedded into web-applications). The work to be undertaken will involve the following steps for each of the yearly cycles: requirements gathering, design of mash-up, implementation of mash-up, evaluation of mash-up.
T6.2 Open Archive and scientific dissemination portal (UJF)
We will stimulate the development of the use of the open archives as part of a scientific portal by STELLAR researchers by offering this service in cooperation with the existing TeLearn OA (www.telearn.org) and providing the support to researchers in order to facilitate the upload and use of the repository. This task will include the creation of the STELLAR scientific portal as a layer of the TeLearn Open Archive, securing the continuity and availability of the archive, monitoring the use of the portal and enhance its international visibility.
T6.3 Tools and support for Science 2.0 evaluation (KUL, KC)
This task will support the evaluation of the adoption of Science 2.0 practices and to contribute to encourage it by enhancing the tools provided. After initial progress it will be conducted in close cooperation with WP7 (evaluation) and the WP 1-5 to which WP6 is instrumental. This task includes the development of monitoring procedures and tools, designing and implementing instruments for use analysis, collecting data on quantitative indicators, deriving measures for take-up support of Science 2.0 practices.
WP6 will be lead by UJF which will also be responsible for the Open Archive task (T6.2) and the related Science 2.0 developments. UKOU will lead the Mash-up task (T6.1). KUL and KC will co-lead the task dedicated to supporting the evaluation of the use of the Science 2.0 tools and support with a close collaboration with WP7. This collaboration will be enhanced by the contribution of ZSI which is the leading partner of WP7.

2.1 OUUK
Deliverable: First iteration of Stellar Mashups M9 OUUK Done
Set up a demo Stellar Mashup platform (OUUK): See [2] Done
Integration of Wookie Stellar Widgets in TELEurope (WP6/ WP5 integration) Internal WP6 Deadline 15/03/2010 Discussion initialised between WP5 and WP6. Widgets are ready to ship with the new redesigned TELeurope platform. By now developed widgets support use case: Getting informed about Stellar.
Setting up Agenda for the further Development of widgets to support our other usecases: By now (02/2010), we could support a use case like “get informed”, but we also should consider the following use cases (5.1.3-5.1.10) and create widgets for them (http://www.stellarnet.eu/d/6/3/Home#1.1____Scenarios_and_use-cases):
- 5.1.1 Use-case: publication alerts
- 5.1.2 Use-case: spotting publication trends
- 5.1.3 Use-case: meeting recommenders
- 5.1.4 Use-case: (conference) social network
- 5.1.5 Use-case: profiling the speaker
- 5.1.6 Use-case: follow people
- 5.1.7 Use-case: reflection support
- 5.1.8 Use-Case: streaming feedback
- 5.1.9 Use-case: paper debating
- 5.1.10 Use-case: collaborative writing
- 5.1.11 Use-case: managing contact points
- 5.1.12 Use-case: cultivating an open archive
- 5.1.13 Use-Case: follow news
- 5.1.14 Use-case: track discussion
- 5.1.15 Use-case: debate live

Development of the Stellar directory
- Widget directory (Done, OUUK)
OUUK: Suggestion for development steps for 2011/12:
TELeurope stakeholder groups:
TELeurope could have stakeholder specific groups which serve as a landing platform directing the users to other related groups and content, which could be relevant for stakeholders.
TELeurope stakeholder specific flow of information:
Based on a combination of categorization and tagging, TELeurope can be modified to channel the various blog posts and pages according to the defined stakeholder groups. Content provider express with a category and tag if the content is interesting for one or several stakeholder groups. Each stakeholder group will have the possibility to see all tagged content for their interest.
Enhanced Profiles of TELeurope:
The profile of TELeurope can be modified according to account types (regular member, institution, research project). The profile can contain fields, which can be used to aggregate information from various sources outside of TELeurope.
Virtual Event support on TELeurope:
The widget development of the eventspace of TELeurope will focus on the inclusion of widgets, which are intended to support virtual events on TELeurope.
Widget Server: Developments on the widget server towards a multi-user system.
Analytics: Of TELeurope facets (development of friendship relations, activity during a major event, ...)
